When I was a child, my favorite super hero fought for, truth, justice and the American way!  Being a post war baby, I grew up with a love and belief in America, maybe because of the time I grew up in, we were surrounded by hero’s from the war, and hero’s in our movies.  I believed in our country and in our government leaders.  Because I saw through a child’s eye’s I went through life not getting involved in government,  I let the hero’s make the decisions, like so many people I find today I was busy, raising a family and working.  Life was easy in America, we didn’t have to fight any more, I just knew our leaders had our best interest in mind when they made laws and policies.

For the last twenty or so years I have become afraid for the America I believed in as a child.  But I believed that our government leaders were fighting for right and would prevail.  My late husband had a special belief in America also, but having been a LA county sheriff  he didn’t expect others to always do the right thing as I did.  He taught me to stand for what I believed in and to fight for it.  He had a special faith in me and in my faith in others, which has given me courage  to stand up now.

When he passed I knew it was time for me to stand up for  America, for the America our founding fathers fought and died for.  I could see there are forces at work that are trying to destroy my America, to change it to suit their own agenda and purpose, they tell us, “we want only to help everyone” don’t believe them!  They lie, cheat and they deceive.  They came to tare down and destroy our America.  They deceive us by saying they are  Democrats and some Republicans, they are not either of these, their beliefs came from another world, one that has fought against us for many years and has infiltrated into our world through our youth.  I remember one of their past leaders banging his shoe on the desk and saying they would bury us.  He is gone, but they are still there trying to destroy.  They are haters, you will find them by hearing their actions not their words.

The people that have signed up to fight, to serve are the new hero’s of America, they are everyday people willing to give up their time and energy to restore America.  People like Dr. Joe Heck, Sharron Angle,   myself and the others  running for office are willing to serve and stand against this  enemy.  If you love America are you willing to help, will you be a hero and fight for truth, justice and the American way,  We are!  Will you stand with us?  Talk to your neighbors, your friends and family, little by little get them to understand the importance of voting and knowing who and what they are voting for.   Without your help we are lost, America will be lost!  Please don’t let that happen!

What is happening to our nation! What have we become?  Are we now a Nation of scared people that can’t say what we feel or stand up for our beliefs for fear of offending?

In New York, near ground zero someone wants to build a Mosque.  We are told by the liberal’s in Washington and in the media that we need to be fair, treat them as equal and allow them the freedom of religion that we all are given.  Yes, they have the right to their religion, but on the other side of the coin, shouldn’t they have respect for our religion’s and our country also?  Respect for the innocent victims and their family’s along with the rest of Americans that felt the pain and outrage on September 11.  The pain that was caused by others of their religion! Zealots that desires to harm us, no that  wants to destroy us and our way of life.  Where should the tolerance come from?  When do we as Americans say, yes we are a free nation but a free nation also has boundaries and rules.  Laws that everyone who want to live here needs to follow and obey.  If you want the benefits then pay the price to receive them.  Abide by our laws and customs.  Customs that have integrated from the many and varied nations that have joined hands with us to build a free nation of our own.  When are we going to stand and tell these intruders, yes I said, intruders, that they can not come here and take away our way of life because they want to impose  their way  on us!

There is a girl in So. California, suing Disneyland because they won’t let her wear her head scarf while waiting on tables.  Never mind the fact that she has worked there for 2 years before asking to do so, never mind that she didn’t seem to care about it before now.  Or the fact that this is a company that has uniforms for their employees, that have dress requirements in all departments.  Or that they pay her to work there, THEY ALLOW her to work FOR THEM! So she is suing them because they won’t let her do what she wants to do.  Is she in charge, does she own the Disney corporation?  If she wants to wear the scarf  then she has the right to find a job someplace that will allow her to do so, someplace were it will not be against the dress code or the company rules.

While being out there talking with the people of  Nevada, I have come across many views.  Very few feel the way our elected officials do about what is fair or right for America and Americans.   Most are angry and want change.  They want America to stand strong and keep the freedom so many of our friends and family have fought and died for.   Yes we welcome people of other nations and religions to come and live here in peace and respect, but at a price they don’t seem to want to pay.  It’s not a high price or a different one that any other immigrant who has come here has paid.  Just do it legally, and become a good neighbor and citizen.  Earn our respect and trust, you can’t demand it form any one in any country.   Some sure seem to think they have the demanding right given to them when they get here.  Respect is earned and given freely, when you demand it you will only get scorn.

The reasons for donations are many.  For me I’m looking to raise around $2500; to pay for yard signs, business cards, fliers and maybe if finances allow it a few block party’s to meet my supporters.  Then I will have the chance to answer questions from you face to face, and to  know more about the people I will be representing in Carson City.

When we, as candidates receive funds from anyone, we have to account for how much and how we use it; this is to help you, the citizens, know where the funds are going that helped put us in office.  I feel that when large amounts of money come in from different groups, like a union or business, there must be a reason.  I’m not saying they shouldn’t donate, but who is your loyalty to when you get $2000 or more from a business or group concern?  I want to represent you, the people of this district, which would be my job and is my goal.  Any $10.00 or more donations will help me do that.

Today I read a copy of my opponent’s Financial Disclosure for his campaign in 2008.  I was surprised!  I have added a link to that report so that you may read it yourself.  If you have questions or comments please let me know.   This example of funds received and monies spent maybe why Mr. Munfords voting record was 100% yes on every tax increase.

If you feel it’s time for real change, change back to the America we love and representatives that will stand by the Constitution of the United States, then support me with your vote and your donations.  Help me work for you and Nevada.

One area in the election process that I have long been disappointed with is the advertising.  It especially bothers me when one candidate degrades their opponent.  When this happens, we as voters don’t get to understand the real issues and where each candidate stands.  I think it would be great if we could fire the elected officials if and when we find they are not keeping their campaign promises.  Most, unfortunately don’t tell us what they plan to do but want to find fault with something the other has said, and normally it is out of context and expanded to make it seem worse than it is.

Do we elect one candidate because he or she seems like the best person for the job or because we feel like there isn’t much choice between the two?  How do we decide who we will vote for?  Is this the reason so many people have given in and allowed others to decide who win’s and who doesn’t?  I’ve spoken to many people who feel just that way, I think that it is just what the career politicians want us to do.  They want to confuse us with non issues, so we will get discouraged and not support a good honest person with our donations or votes.

Don’t give up, yes it takes time, but what is your freedom worth?  Do you feel like I do that our freedoms are being taken away in small amounts at a time and more recently in larger amounts?  One example the EPA wants to make it against the law to have a home vegetable garden!  The FDA wants to keep those of us that have the ability to own a milk cow from having one and drinking its milk!!  Where do they get the authority or the feeling that they have the right to dictate to the FREE Citizens of this country?  Our focus is being distracted from loosing our freedoms to things like the (glitch?) that caused Wall Street to drop points last week or who got kicked off dancing with the stars or American idol.  Which of these is most important to you and your family’s future?
